AiA newsflash Buffet dinner, concert and exhibition with UNICEF UNICEF Belgium and Expats for UNICEF join forces with AiA at the Brussels inauguration of our exhibition «The 8 Millennium Development Goals as seen through the eyes of children». The development goals have been set by the UN and aim to significantly reduce poverty by 2015. AiA supports this drive through its Awareness activities in schools as well as through this traveling exhibition which has already been organized in Toronto, New York, Milan, Antwerp and London. The exhibition in Brussels will be hosted by the Ethiopian restaurant Kokob, and include delicious buffet dinner followed by a Fusion Afro Jazz concert on March 11th 2010. Under the patronage of Yves Willemot, Director of UNICEF Belgium, a special auction has also been organized where you will be able to purchase fabulous world photographs by the founders of AiA. AiA's book launch at UNICEF AiA was proud to present an exhibition of photography and children's art at the UNICEF headquarters in New York in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Children Rights Convention. Mrs Ann Veneman, Executive Director of UNICEF and actress Lucy Liu opened the exhibition and delivered glowing endorsements at the official launch of AiA's unique Art Book. Watch the video To order the book New schools joining AiA’s Art Pen Pal Program (PPP) 12 new schools have joined into AiA’s Art Pen Pal Program since the start of 2010. With these new additions we are now active on all 5 continents! It is noteworthy that several of these schools are located in countries that weren't previously represented in the project, including Peru, Australia, South Korea and Uganda. Raphael Guilbert is responsible for the Art Pen Pal program. He will be joined within the next few months by an enthusiastic new team of volunteers. Prizes and awards for AiA Last year, AiA won 3 great awards: the Google AdWord award, the SharetoWin educational award and the first prize of the Kodak Smile Festival for this picture by Anthony Assael, founder of AiA. We have, for instance, triggered the interest of the BBC, of Le Soir, MediaCorp, ZDF, AFP, CinéRevue, CNN, Le Vif, and more… View our press releases. AiA is charity of the month One Meaning chose Art in All of Us to be their charity of the month. During the entire month of March, they will be donating 8.13% of all sales to AiA, as well as featuring additional fundraising opportunities for them. Interview of the month In collaboration with « the Children's newspaper » Andrew in Louisiana Andrew lives in a small village in Louisiana, between Houston and New Orleans. Can you give us a little introduction about yourself? I was born in La Fayette in 1998, the 4th city of the Sate. I live in a big house and have a big room. I love to go swimming in the pool in the summer. Thankfully, we have air conditioning because it can be very hot in the summer. Do you know what you want to be when you grow up? I would like to be a psychotherapist because I think that way I could help people who suffer. Then they can go back to work and help their family. Have you ever traveled? I have been to Belgium 3 times, to go visit my grandmother. I hope to go back there next summer, so that I can learn to speak French. What did you learn with Art in All of Us ? I learned about how to be creative and use my imagination. I have also learned about new cultures around the world.

AiA ended its first world tour having traveled to 192 countries in 1464 days. 300 schools and 18.000 children participated in our activities. 21 fundraising events were organized in 7 countries 41 press articles featuring AiA were published in 11 countries The Art Pen Pal program has touched the life of its 1000th student

Marketing specialists Audrey Hausman and Emilie Betrand joined the AiA team a few months ago. These marketing specialists have added their personal touch to the AiA image and achieved a more professional and attractive look for us. We would like to thank them wholeheartedly for their help, their creativity and their great pro-activity! As with every AiA “volunteer of the month”, we are very pleased to offer Audrey and Emilie a beautiful photograph from the AiA collection.
